Meratus Kutai, the first vessel deployed on the new CIDX service, made its maiden call at SP-ITC Terminal in Ho Chi Minh City on 28 September 2026. The Meratus-operated service connects Vietnam with Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea. Hai An Container Transport (HACT) acts as Meratus’ shipping agent in Vietnam. Representatives from SP-ITC welcomed the vessel’s crew and officials from Meratus and HACT during the call. SP-ITC presented its current operational capabilities and plans for further investment and expansion. These plans include the development of a deep-water port project in the Cai Mep area. Meanwhile, HACT outlined plans to expand its fleet and international network. The Vietnamese company also intends to develop additional domestic and international services calling at SP-ITC. The CIDX service provides a new maritime connection between Vietnam, Indonesia and markets across the Southwest Pacific.
