Hai An Container Transport Company Limited has received DEKRA approval for its Approved Continuous Examination Programme. The approval confirms that Hai An’s programme complies with the International Convention for Safe Containers of 1972. Hai An Container Transport is a subsidiary of Vietnam-based Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company. ACEP supports continuous container inspections The Approved Continuous Examination Programme is a container safety inspection system recognised by the International Maritime Organization under the CSC Convention. Under the programme, containers undergo continuous inspection, monitoring and maintenance throughout their operating life. This approach replaces fixed periodic examinations with an approved management system designed to keep containers compliant with international safety requirements. Shipping lines and container owners use ACEP programmes to monitor container condition and maintain operational readiness. Hai An meets international and Vietnamese requirements To receive approval, Hai An demonstrated compliance with the CSC Convention and Vietnam’s regulations for inspecting containers in service. These national requirements are set out in Circular No. 64/2015/TT-BGTVT, issued by Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport. The approval process also covered Hai An’s procedures for container inspections, maintenance, repairs and technical record management. According to the company, the programme provides a standardised framework for managing these processes and maintaining the required documentation.
