Image Credit: Amon Maritime Navigator Amon Shipping has agreed a post-delivery term loan of up to $121.8 million for two newbuild ammonia-fuelled gas carriers. The firm is a joint venture between Navigator Gas and Amon Maritime , Navigator Gas said in a press release on Monday . The two 51,350 m3 vessels are under construction at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China and are due for delivery in May and September 2028 . The ships will be capable of carrying ammonia and LPG and operating on ammonia as marine fuel. ING Bank, Société Générale and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation will provide the financing when the vessels are delivered, covering up to 70% of their cost. The loan will run for six years after delivery and carry interest at SOFR plus 1.35% . Pre-delivery payments and the remaining portion of the delivery instalments will be funded by Navigator Amon Shipping's shareholders. The shipbuilding contracts for the two vessels were signed in July 2025 .
